Candidates should be B.Pharm/M.Pharm or related scientific field with demonstrated scientific knowledge in the formulation development.
Minimum 2 years of experience in the development of solid oral, immediate and modified-release dosage forms. The experience should have been acquired preferably in a generic pharmaceutical industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Fully conversant with formulation development steps and procedures, knowledge of regulatory affairs and guidelines for European submissions, working knowledge of evaluating patents and literature prior arts, able to work under challenging timelines, knowledge base in Microsoft Word and Excel packages, good observation and innovative skills, detailed knowledge of Pharmaceutical manufacturing process, excipients and GMP principles.
Job responsibilities:
Coordinating with various R&D's, plants and outside customers efficiently for project progress.
Evaluating patents and literature prior arts.
Reviewing the development work of various projects at different stages recommending changes or improvements to the manufacturing process or formulation design if any.
Making presentations and writing reports to senior management describing progress of the projects, tracking development activities of on-going projects.
Achieving development targets with respect to timelines and cost allocations.
Ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with the corporate standard operating procedures (SOP), EU regulatory requirements/guidelines and safety standards.
Job Requirements:
Candidates should have hands on experience in formulation design, development and optimization of solid oral immediate and/or polymeric drug delivery systems.
Candidates must have an understanding of drug and formulation characteristics, polymer science, optimization and scale-up activities.
Excellent analytical, technical writing, communication and data management skills are required.
Knowledge and experience with EU regulatory requirements for Pharmaceuticals.
Highly motivated and self-driven individual with the ability to work within a team and multi-task, adhere to aggressive timelines in support of department and outside customers.
