                                                   Project Analyst Associate

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast paced, busy environment for a leading global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. As a Project Analyst Associate you have to
• The Project Analysis Group (PAG) is the project financial analysis function of the ICON Clinical Division. The department role is to provide independent, objective project financial and consulting services designed to add value and assist clinical operation improve their project profitability. PAG helps Clinical Operation accomplish its objectives relating to cost by bringing a global, systematic, discipline approach to evaluate and project finances.
• The role of the Project Analyst Associate is to support the Project Analyst and Project Analyst Management team by providing administration, project tracking support and administration of relevant project management information systems. To mentor and train other Project Analyst Associate as appropriate.
• PAG is a department within the Project Management Office (PMO). The objectives of the PMO are to support project management and execution through documentation, guidance and metrics as well as supplying support services to the project teams.


JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• * Travel (approximately 25%) domestic and/or international
• * Support the Project Analyst and Project Analyst Management team with ongoing administrative support.
• *Assist Project Analyst with financial analyses and support as appropriate:
Prepare study specific reports for analysis
Generation of standardize report from ICON systems
Any other administrative duties.
• * Assist Project Analysis Directors and Managers as appropriate
Preparing and consolidation of reports
Tracking and updating of ICON systems and trackers used by Project Analysis Group
Maintain the PAG/PMO eRoom/server folders by ensuring all relevant documents are posted
Assist team with tracking and updating of PAG databases and trackers
• Contribute to overall strategic process improvements and implementation for department.
• *Manifests beginning knowledge of Clinical Trial Process including country and therapeutic differences. Manifests beginning knowledge proficiency in ICON and/or sponsors SOPs.
• Apply the knowledge of project finances.
Demonstrate beginning knowledge in understanding contract type and project performance with regard to timelines and resourcing.
Proficient in systems and tools and ICON’s applications to efficiently and accurately analyze project data i.e. Planview, ICObid, ICOST, Oracle Financial, Compass, etc

• Perform other reasonably related duties, analysis and special projects as assigned by management team.
• Keep Manager/Project Analyst informed of any issues with the department which requires attention.
• Communicate with the Project Analyst when required with regard to project analyst tracking, reporting and collation.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

• Demonstrate ability to interpret data (analytical skills) and convert between formats.
• Demonstrate a logical approach to analysis with a questioning attitude.
• Numerate with some financial understanding.
• Excellent working knowledge of MS office package, in particular Excel.
• Excellent communication (written and oral), organizational, and influencing skills.
• Due to the nature of this position it may be required for the employee to travel. Therefore, dependent on the employee’s location, the employee may be required to possess a valid Drivers license.
• US/LATAM/CAN: Prior relevant work experience with administrative tasks.
• EU/APAC: Prior relevant experience with administrative tasks.



EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Associates degree or local equivalent in business, administration or related discipline
