The Ethics and Compliance Analyst/Manager (Manager) will provide advice and counsel on matters of compliance and ethical business practices. The Manager will assist with the continued enhancement of the Local Compliance Program by executing, through collaborative interactions and innovative strategies designed to assist the company in achieving its business objectives within the parameters of the law and Abbott’s Compliance Program.
  1. Develop and coordinate the implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and practices across the affiliate.          
  2. Develop, implement, and coordinate education and training programs that focus on the elements of the corporate-wide compliance program, particularly related to key values, policies and procedures.
  3. Monitor adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
  4. Coordinate and lead internal investigations, where applicable.
  5. Provide advice as it relates to compliance with applicable policies and procedures.
6.      Lead project teams in implementing complex, cross-functional ethics and compliance initiatives to include corrective and preventive measures.
  1. Organize ethics and compliance records, documents and files and maintain document databases
  2. Maintain a current working knowledge of various laws, regulations, and industry guidance that impact the affiliate-wide compliance program.

In addition, he/she will collaborate and consult with Corporate OEC, Legal, Human Resources and Commercial to ensure the successful integration and implementation of compliance and ethics across all businesses in Abbott India.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:
Managerial:

-          Management experience for the more senior position, ideally a small  team but willing to “do” and not just “manage”

Functional/ Technical:
-          Demonstrated problem-solving skills

Qualifications

 
Required Education / Experience

-          Bachelor’s degree required, law degree preferred.
-          Ideally the candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of related professional experience including some pharmaceutical or health care compliance program experience as either a member of a multinational compliance team, consultant, or outside counsel.
-          Demonstrated problem-solving skills
-          Strong communication skills and management experience for the more senior position.

Preferred Education/Experience

-          Minimum of 5 - 8 years’ experience with, or exposure to, business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, government affairs or finance.
-          Experience in a similar role.
-          Prior experience in sales, marketing, compliance, legal or regulatory functions at large pharmaceutical or medical device company.
-          In-depth knowledge of the marketing, promotion and selling processes.
-          In-depth knowledge and understanding of pharmaceutical or devices marketing and sales interactions with all major customer segments.
-          Strong working knowledge of the healthcare compliance environment.
