Description

 
PURPOSE
Provide document support, as appropriate, to one or more Medical Writing groups and groups responsible for Regulatory documents.. May provide quality control review of simple Medical Writing documents for format and consistency with style guides. May perform document preparation activities for publishing. Interact with project team members, as appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Compile and track information/documents for Clinical Study Report appendices, with support from lead Medical Writer
 Compile and track signature pages and QC checklists for deliverables
 Set up and maintain project files
 Assist with archiving and tracking archive status of all projects
 Compile and maintain metrics information, including checking of monthly revenue status
 Compile global monthly report information
 Support department administration activities, e.g. maintain organograms, compile information as needed, booking travel/accommodation, arrange conference calls, deal with visitors and meeting arrangements, maintain and order stationery and other supplies, print documents, coordinate couriers, send faxes, etc
 Comply with Company SOPs and participate in the implementation of new SOPs
 May perform quality control review of simple documents (eg, model reports and patient narratives) to ensure for formatting and consistency with style guide (but not content)
 May assist with administrative aspects of document creation, e.g. inserting and captioning statistical output, bookmarking and basic preparation of .pdf documents

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent standard of written English, and ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English, both in writing and verbally
 Ability to assess workload and suggest prioritization to senior staff
 Demonstrated abilities in collaboration with others and independent thought
 Careful attention to detail and accuracy
 Must be computer literate
 Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients

Qualifications

 
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School diploma with 3 years of relevant experience in a medical writing support role; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Extensive use of telephone and face-to-face communication requiring accurate perception of speech
Extensive use of keyboard requiring repetitive motion of fingers
Regular sitting for extended periods of time
Extensive use of copier and fax machines require a significant amount of standing
