PD-Analytical R&D:

Position: Senior Research Investigator/ Senior Research Scientist

Qualification: PhD/ Post-Doc in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent. Or MSc in Analytical Chemistry with relevant work experience

Experience: PhD/ Post-Doc with 2 years of experience or MSc with minimum 5yrs of relevant work experience

Role:

1. This individual will be responsible for leading a team of scientists supporting Pharmaceutics group engaged in NCE R&D. This team provides support by developing suitable methods of analysis based on sound scientific principles and performing risk assessment on chemical and physical stability of development candidates for early phase drug development of new chemical entities

2. Initial role is likely to be focused on drug product analytical support for preformulation and early phase formulation activities. Role expansion to support Process Chemistry teams for API development is likely.

Skill Set: Expert knowledge of Analytical Chemistry with specific emphasis on HPLC, GC, and solid state characterization techniques (PXRD, DSC, TGA, Particle Size Analysis, Vapor Sorption analyses, and Microscopy). Expertise in Separation Sciences is expected Knowledge of preformulation of new chemical entities is required. Additional expertise in crystal form selection and structure elucidation of impurities/ degradants is recommended. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills and ability to lead a group of technical experts. Experience in working in cGMP compliant laboratories is desired.
