JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CODING PROJECT
Title: Department: Medical Coding EXPERIENCED CANDIDATES
Reports to:Summary of Functions:
The candidates are required to review the Medical Records and assign ICD-9-CM
diagnoses codes and procedural codes from CPT along with relevant modifiers following
the coding guidelines and client specifications if any.
Basic Academic Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from medical or life sciences stream.
Experience: Minimum 1 year hand-on experience on live charts
Certification: Certification is preferred.
Shift: India Day shift 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a flexibility to support the business need.
Agreement: Service agreement for 18 months is mandatory
Training: Refresher training for a very short duration (less than a week to max 2 weeks) based on
complexity of coding.
Computer skills:
Well versed in MS office and ability to work online with multiple navigation systems and
various coding software(s).
Communication skills:
Good written and verbal communication skills and good comprehension and analytical skills.
Others: Age: Below 35 years
Gender: No preference
Screening: Candidates should appear for a written test and technical interview rounds.
