Job Title : Senior Research Scientist-Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetics

Job Description

• Set-up and perform mass spectrometry-based comprehensive proteomic workflows including protein fractionation, 2D gel analysis, in-gel and in-solution sample preparation, protein ID, peptide mass fingerprinting, label-free quantification and data analysis. 
• Further, integration of proteomic data with metabolomic and pharmacological information to support drug discovery and development
• Maintain and operate nanoLC-HRMS (high resolution mass spec), MALDI-TOF and UPLC-MS/MS instruments such as Q-Exactive Orbitrap and Q-TOF LC/MS. Also train and assist other team members
• Perform large scale MS data processing and mining using various software such as Proteome Discoverer, MassFrontier, MetAlign, R, Matlab, Mascot, Expressionist, SEQUEST etc
• Generation and maintenance of biological sample bank, metabolite and protein standards, spectral libraries and databases

Qualification : BSc/MSc Life Sciences

Experience : 0-2 years

Location : Goregaon

Desired skills

• Independently execute high-throughput proteomic and metabolomic sample preparations for in-vitro and in-vivo biological samples
• Hands-on experience in operating and maintaining high resolution mass spec instruments
• Experience in application of proteomic technology for target discovery and studying cancer metabolism is highly desirable
• Should have strong communication, interpersonal and data presentation skills to coordinate with other drug discovery and development groups
• Having industrial experience in small molecule Metabolomics, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism (Metabolite -ID) and in vitro assays using LC-MS will have an added advantage.
