Pay Scale: PB-2 (Rs.9300-34800) plus Grade Pay Rs.4800. Total emoluments excluding TA and HRA at the initial appointment will be Rs. 37,900/- p.m. approximately.

Essential Qualificaiton (s):
A. EDUCATIONAL
M.Sc Degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Organic Chemistry or Pharmacy of a recognized University or equivalent.
Equivalent means Qualification of Associates hip Diploma of the Institution of Chemist(India), Kolkata shall be treated as equivalent to M.Sc degree in Chemistry.
B EXPERIENCE
Two years research experience preferably in the field of drugs.
Duty(ies):
(i) Analysis of complicated drug samples by physicochemical Methods, using sophisticated instruments like GLC, HPLC, IR, etc.,
(ii) Standardisation of Reference Standards,
(iii) Carrying out research work pertaining to quality control of drugs,
(iv) Imparting training to Drug Analysts,
(v) Helping Sectional In-charge in Technical and administrative work including review of monographs of Pharmacopoeias. .
Probation: Two years.
Head Quarter Kolkata with All India Service Liability.
Other Details: General Central Service Group-‘B’ Gazetted , Non-Ministerial. The post is permanent.
